Dolores Dagenais
www.doloresdagenais.com
Dolores songs are a blend of insightful, poetic lyrics and sweetly crafted Blues/Folk/Rock fusion. They cover every topic, often straying into the realms of her childhood, exploring relationships, spirituality, politics and even delving into the lives of her friends and family, she takes her inspiration where she finds it and it finds her often. She has collected a catalogue of over 180 finished songs and always has a new idea brewing on the back burner. Dolores has connected with audiences at countless venues in Nova Scotia, Toronto, Barrie and Northern Ontario including Northern Lights Festival Boreal, SummerFest and Parry Sound Poetry Bash. Her fans span all ages and social stratas and live as close as Sudbury and as far away as China.
In 2005 Dolores released two back to back albums her second album, “The Original Fool” a blues /folk/rock fusion was released in June 2005 and “Songs for the Moon” a collection of earth and pagan tunes released in September. Her debut album “Mona Lisa’s Secret” was released in 2003. She is currently writing her fourth album which is due out in the late spring of 2007.
Dolores’ writing is nothing if not personal her songs are about all aspects of life, from great triumph to profound regret written in a personal pull no punches style that somehow still manages to remain universal. Because of the clarity of the work and Dolores' "easy to listen to" vocal arrangements, her albums are currently being used in parts of China to assist students as they learn the English language and she’s garnered a number of fans in the far east due to this.

Jeff White Music

As soon as Jeff picked up his first guitar at age 16 he began writing songs. A very influential age in any young persons upbringing. Three months after receiving his first guitar from his mother, he was asked to be the front man of a local Eau Claire, Wis. alternative-rock band called, Milktruck. A little over a year later, Milktruck won a recording deal with a Tennessee talent agency and received a recording contract at Big Mama Recording Studios in Knoxville, TN. After writing most of the songs for the band, Jeff realized his true calling was to be a singer-songwriter.
"I wanted to write songs that wouldn't die out in a couple of years. I want to write songs that I'll thoroughly enjoy when I'm 64. I want people of all ages and backgrounds to share the same love for music. That's what I consider "Folk music". Songs for all folks. People from all over the world that I've come in contact with do share the same human emotions. Love, laughter, a need to feel free, desire, anger, wonder, grief.... Even if you're playing in a country where the audience doesn't quite understand what your singing, they feel the passion in the vocals and the music and it brings unity to the room."
Jeff has opened for some amazing people: folk legends, Greg Brown and Bill Stains, Dr. John, Keller Williams, members of Wilco and others in the folk, rock and jam-band world. He's been on month long tours with folk troubadour, Walter Craft and 2 & 3 week tours with the "super-group", Maggi, Pierce & E.J. His music has taken him all over the United States as well as England, Scotland & Wales. He's even performed at The Cavern Club in Liverpool where The Beatles got their start. He's performed at the world famous, Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN. as well as his band headlining at America's largest canvas tent radio show, Big Top Chautauqua. He's performed at every kind of venue, from large festivals to coffeehouses, jails to elder homes, brewpubs to house concerts, universities to trout farms, live radio and TV.
